PRA’s training services are designed in a results-oriented format. PRA uses a problem-based learning (PBL) approach to instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery. Our approach builds competency specific to the learning needs of our clients. This approach recognizes the need to develop problem-solving skills and the necessity to acquire knowledge and skills. PBL utilizes real-world problems and hypothetical case studies to guide participants through the process of working with challenging problems and learning both content and critical thinking skills. PBL assists the learning process by continually presenting the type of ill-structured problems practicing professionals confront in their everyday work life. PBL develops individuals who can:

  • Clearly define a problem;
  • Develop alternative hypotheses;
  • Access, evaluate, and utilize data from a variety of sources;
  • Alter hypotheses given new information; and
  • Develop clearly stated solutions that fit the problem and its inherent conditions, based
    upon information and clearly explicated reasoning.
